Stoneridge Software delivers the customizations you need for your enterprise. In the beginning phases of implementation, business processes are documented and reviewed. During this stage Stoneridge Architects and Consultants along with customer project teams will assess business needs. Dynamics solutions are built with deep core functionality, but every organization is unique. If there is an area critical to the business, that doesn’t have an obvious correlation to a concept in the Dynamics solution being implemented, the Stoneridge Software Development team steps in.
Stoneridge Software’s corporate office has a unique geographical advantage of being located near the Microsoft campus in Fargo, ND, where much of previous development on Microsoft Dynamics AX happened and development on Microsoft Dynamics 365 takes place. We have acquired a team who, in previous employment at Microsoft, spent years developing and supporting the Dynamics AX product and developing the Dynamics 365 product.
Dynamics 365 Development & Dynamics AX
While employed at Microsoft, members of the Stoneridge Software development team were directly involved in building the integration services within the Microsoft Dynamics AX product and helped develop the Dynamics 365 product as well. They have also spent many years supporting and teaching Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and partner teams building integrations between AX and other applications. That support has included creating example code, reviewing existing integrations and providing guidance on approaches to integrating different applications. As part of the Stoneridge Software, our development team members have led a wide variety of customizations for customers, including developing custom capabilities for e-commerce integration projects, services development, enterprise portal customizations, adding custom fields to many standard Microsoft Dynamics forms, and modifying out-of-the-box reports.
As reporting specialists we build custom reports or modifications to existing reports depending on client needs. Our AX team includes development experts who specialized in reports for years in Microsoft support, taking calls from around the world helping customer and ISV teams with their reporting needs. With the depth and years of experience at Stoneridge, our developers have literally created or modified thousands of reports.
The Stoneridge Software development team is also a valuable resource for current Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 developers and those entering into the territory. Besides hundreds of pages of instructional content, fixes, tips and tricks published on our blog, our developers are also instructors. Our developers can provide training on understanding the language and development environment for customers’ in-house teams to assist in self-sufficiency.
Developers on the Stoneridge team have taught classes for years at the Microsoft Fast TrAX Training Academy on the Fargo, ND, Microsoft campus. They also teach students globally through online classes available through Stoneridge and AXUG. The online classes provide an introduction to the Dynamics 365 (AX7) environment, and progress into customizations. This instruction helps students learn the X++ language and also helps in preparation for the Microsoft Development Certification Exams.
“At Stoneridge Software, we have the dream team of developers. There are only a handful of places in the world you could find this level of AX development knowledge in one place.”
“Stoneridge Software contributed to solid solution designs for customizations to solve our unique order to cash business process. They also provided key resources for AX development and environment management that were critical to the success of our implementation schedule. When our project had a resource gap, Stoneridge Software engaged expertise to help finalize multiple environment setups, complete builds including automation, and deploy code to multiple environments which contributed to meeting project launch schedules. They also introduced and supported the use of DIEF and Rapid Start tools for one-time integration and migration activities.
“We have learned a lot from their resources and they continue to mentor our organization on the intricacies of AX environments and functional nuances. In addition to being well-versed in the Microsoft AX technology, we find the Stoneridge Software staff flexible for on-site meeting planning, responsive to warranty activities, and helpful with end user training and mentoring.”
Dynamics 365 Business Central & Dynamics NAV Development
Dynamics 365 Business Central was written with flexibility in mind. This foundation allows our consultants and developers to cater workflows and application behavior to meet unique business needs. Our NAV team is fluent in all areas of the product and has probably written to just about every flavor of enhancement imaginable. As a group, our entire team has deep development backgrounds within the product. For more complex requirements, our dedicated development group is able to architect a design-specific solution.
While Dynamics 365 offers the opportunity for all types of development styles, our team adopts the design patterns in the product, including those inherent in code, structural and conceptual. The result is a consistent development and user experience across the entire application and less overall code to maintain. This has many benefits including faster user cross-training, smaller upgrade projects, and easier readability.
We are also able to provide deep reporting support through direct report development or through user-accessible tool support. For client environments where a dedicated individual or team is not able to assume responsibility for reporting requirements, we provide end-to-end report design and development services. For other customers with available technical staff, we can support the report effort through individual training, schema assistance, and tools outside of Dynamics NAV itself.
As a group, the NAV team has written an estimated tens of thousands of customizations and reports over almost one hundred years of combined product experience. That experience allows our team to avoid unneeded design repetitions, and also permits us to remodel familiar enhancements to address new business initiatives – keeping the cost to a minimum.
