Managing Advanced Licensing and Certifications for Controlled Agriculture Products

by | Updated June 8, 2020 | Agriculture

Licensing and certification requirements for controlled agriculture products vary by federal and state regulations. Keeping track of the different requirements and which growers hold the proper certifications can be a struggle for agriculture retailers. With Levridge, ag retailers can input, track, and manage certifications of all growers and purchasers within one system. By managing advanced licensing and certifications for controlled products in Levridge, ag retailers can input, track, and manage certifications of all growers and purchasers within one system.

Each restricted item is listed in the system and fields are set to determine the errors or preventions required for each item. For example, you can toggle on and off settings that prevent or allow sales and invoices, agronomy work orders, sales order entries, and sales pack slips. The certification type and location information are also associated with each chemical.

Advanced Licensing

As growers are issued licenses, that information is submitted to the ag retailer, and that data is then inputted into Levridge.

When an order comes in that includes a restricted-use item, the system will not move forward processing that order until the grower’s contact information is associated. The system will immediately alert the user to any grower that does not have the proper licensing and certification to purchase and distribute the item. This allows ag retailers to easily and accurately track and prevent the distribution or sale of inventory to persons without the proper licensing.

The video below gives an overview of this process and will show you the alerts that users receive within Levridge.

All hazardous materials require the availability of safety data sheets for each product. These safety data sheets can be stored directly within Levridge and can be accessed by system users at any time on their computer or mobile device. Safety sheets can also be printed directly from the system for customers requesting physical copies.
