For this project, Stoneridge implemented a system-wide ERP solution that brought the company up to industry-standard efficiency levels.
Before this solution was implemented, employees in the company were manually tracking inventory transactions with paper and excel spreadsheets. Thus, inventory counts were inaccurate and there was no real-time visibility into inventory. That meant employees were frustrated and the company was inefficient, and losing money. What they needed was an operator-level bar-coding solution for their warehouses that connected to a reliable ERP system. That way, employees could get back to work, and profit margins weren’t held back by unnecessary inefficiencies.
Stoneridge installed RF Smart and connected the scanner information to Dynamics AX. This project required a back-to-basics approach and included closing every order in the system and re-loading that information into the new configuration.
