What to Expect During the Interview
Our interview process can vary depending on the position and team you are interviewing for. Stoneridge Software is proud to utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) model. Our goal is to ensure we have the right people in the right roles on our team. Sometimes, we find the right people before we have the right seat, if we engage with you proactively or before we have the right seat, we'll make sure we're always looking for that right role for you here. Our Talent Acquisition team reviews all applicants with that philosophy in mind and will often reach out to meet proactively.
First Step: Meet Our Talent Acquisition Team
When you’re progressing through our interviews, you will first speak with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. During this conversation, we seek to understand your career goals, previous experiences, and how our culture could grow with you at Stoneridge. In this meeting, we will also make sure you have a strong understanding of what makes Stoneridge unique before you meet with the rest of our team, and we will be ready to answer any of your questions. We always want you to feel confident that you know where you are in our interview process. We will set expectations on when you’ll hear updates and what comes next in your first meeting.
Second Step: Meet Would-Be Members of Your Team
From there, you will have 2-3 more interviews with the hiring teams for the specific position or team you are interviewing for. These often include People Leaders within the respective teams, and senior or principal experts that exhibit excellence in the role already. In those meetings, you will have a chance to learn more about our team, role responsibilities, proven processes, career paths, and what makes an individual successful in the position at Stoneridge. We believe that your past experiences and behaviors are the best indicator of how you would react in a similar situation here. Stoneridge thoughtfully understands what behaviors and skills make you successful at each stage of your career on our team, from just starting out, to excellence in your role, and leadership on the team. We build thoughtful behavioral and scenario-based interview questions that help you tell us more.
Be a Stoneridge Interview Master
As a team member at Stoneridge, we must provide you with the right tools for success. So why not start now? Our goal is not to trick or stump you in our interviews, but to help you display your best self honestly and effectively through our questions.
Our behavioral interview questions prompt you to share specific examples from your work or relevant experiences. These behaviors are clearly outlined in our job descriptions. For instance, consider this question:
"Tell me about a time when you had to adapt to a workplace change. What actions did you take, and what was the outcome?"
We structure these questions using the STAR Technique and recommend that you respond in the same format. Keep it simple and use this as a guide to staying concise and structured while ensuring you've covered all the relevant details.
Lastly, our core values at Stoneridge are the fabric of our company. If you are interested in joining our team, think about why these values resonate with you in your professional and personal life, and come prepared to discuss this in each interview you have.
What Happens After the Interview?
After your interviews are complete, we aim to make decisions quickly; your Talent Acquisition Specialist will be your main source of updates and will ensure you’re informed of and up to date on all decisions promptly. We look forward to supporting you during your application and interview process!
