Changes in the Year-End Update for Microsoft Dynamics GP

The 2017 Year End Update has released for all versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP. This update is important for all users to install as it not only updates important payroll and accounting information but also fixes software bugs.

All Versions

There are a handful of changes to the Affordable Care Act within GP including form changes, how inactive employees are reported upon and reporting for multiple insurance plans. Please note that Microsoft Dynamics GP doesn’t support electronic filing for the ACA. In order to file electronically, you’ll need to implement an add-on solution like Greenshades or Integrity Data.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 - Quality Fixes

Advanced Payroll - The Payroll Accrual Account box is getting cleared when you import your payroll posting accounts from the navigation list.

Fixed Assets - Luxury Auto Depreciation changes: Maximum depreciation deduction amounts for luxury vehicles have been updated for assets placed in service in the 2017 calendar year to comply with IRS Guidelines.

Distribution - You may receive an error wrong number of arguments 'GetDates' when printing the Historical Stock Status report.

Project Time and Expense (PTE) - Billing notes may not be created correctly when you utilize the PTE templates.

Analytical Accounting - Analytical Accounting code balances do not roll forward when the account balance is cleared in a year.

Bank Reconciliation - You may experience slow performance when printing checkbook posting and reprint journals.

eConnect - You may experience when you set up the incoming Queue, nothing will be integrated into Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 - Quality Fixes

HR/Payroll - If you accrue your time in Human Resource Attendance, your available balance on the reprint pay statement or employee self-service pay stub may double and triple for one-time code based on transactions entered.
