Good Article about the Windows 8 Launch
Today's the big day for Microsoft as Windows 8 is launching. Many of my Facebook friends have taken pictures of their new Windows Surface machines - I think they have a lot of applicability on a manufacturing floor, so we're going to give them a hard look on how we can make them integrate with Dynamics AX.
I've used Windows 8 for the last year and I've had the chance to put it through its paces. As a partner, being able to run a VHD off your machine is a huge bonus, so there are some good features for the non-touch devices as well.
Here's an article from my friend Charity from the Premier Field Engineering team at Microsoft: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2012/10/25/let-me-count-the-ways.aspx. She highlights a lot of what I see as they key new features in the release.
Let me know if you're interested in a demo of how it works and how to take advantage of the touch screen capability in your business.
