A Dynamics AX Health Check isn’t exactly an insurance policy. It’s more like having someone come and do an inspection of your house. If are ready to buy a new house, most of you are going to choose to have someone come in and inspect it because they will know what to look for in problem areas. The average person might look at the walls and think they look fine. You might not see the start of a mold problem, but someone who’s trained and does this for a living can say "look at these signs that show there is mold." Knowing this, you are in a better position to decide whether or not to get that house or at least decide if that is an acceptable risk and you can take steps toward remediation. This is why I like to think of a Dynamics AX Health Check as more of a house inspection, but in this case, it’s a software inspection.
When Stoneridge Software performs an AX Health Check findings are presented to you in a report that cites areas of the implementation where remediation is suggested to resolve an outstanding issue or an element of risk. This report will identify the issues by the degree of risk such as satisfactory, area of concern, or area of risk.
Upon delivery of the report, a Health Check review meeting is scheduled to further discuss the findings and recommendations related to your Health Check. During this meeting, you’ll receive guidance on the resolution of identified issues, whether you’ll be performing the work yourself or relying on the expertise of Stoneridge Software (additional engagement required). The average Stoneridge Software Health Check report is 100 pages of documentation.
