How to Add the Barcode Scanner Component to Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile
The barcode scanner in Dynamics 365 Field Service gives your technicians the ability to scan barcodes on assets or products to automate the process of entering that data into a field on a Field Service mobile form.
The barcode scanner can be used on any mobile form. By default, there is an Asset Tag field that comes with Field Service. This field can be used to track the Asset number when you scan it. However, you can also create or reuse any Single Line of Text field to track a scanned barcode number as well.
In this blog, we will walk through the steps on how to add the barcode scanner to a Customer Asset form and to a mobile device in Dynamics 365 Field Service.
