How to Fulfill Grower Orders with Prepayments at Any Ag Retailer Location with Levridge

By Julie Hagen | January 28, 2021

Simplifying payments, orders, and pre-payments is the key to eliminating errors and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Too many times when a customer places an order against a prepayment and then attempts to make an additional purchase from their local store, the transaction becomes confusing and time-consuming as the cashier must process multiple transactions in different systems or even through paper order fulfillment.

Levridge, built on the Dynamics 365 platform, has the capabilities to streamline that order process so your growers and customers only need to complete a single transaction.

Let’s walk through an example.

A grower completed an agreement to purchase a set amount of fertilizer containing pot ash in a specific time period and locked in a price for that fertilizer. The grower then provided a prepayment.

The grower stops by the local c-store and requests delivery of the fertilizer for later in the week. While at the store, he also wants to purchase a bag of dog food and three candy bars.

The cashier can use the POS system to bring up his initial pot ash order and specify how much the grower would like delivered that week. The prepayment against that order is then automatically applied to the total. The cashier then scans the dog food and candy bars from the store to add to the order.

The pot ash is automatically marked as a shipped item with the delivery address based on what was recorded in the initial order. If a new address needs to be entered, the cashier can do so. The other items are then marked as carryout, as the customer will be taking those items when he leaves the store.

Delivery charges and taxes are automatically calculated in the order. The deposit is reduced from the total order and the remaining balance is ready to be paid at the store.

With one single system for fulfilling all grower orders, ag retailers are able to become more efficient, streamline processes, and eliminate manual errors.
