Stoneridge Software Pays it Forward – Q2 2016

Give Q2 2016Last year Stoneridge Software started a Pay-it-Forward program and is keeping the initiative going in 2016.  Every team member receives $100 to donate to a charity or non-profit organization of their choice. Below is a list of the organizations that employees chose to donate to during the second quarter of 2016.

American Cancer Society - Clay Co. Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. With the support of thousands of volunteers like you, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 500 lives a day.

American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association leads the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fights for those affected by diabetes. They fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes. The American Diabetes Association delivers services to hundreds of communities and gives voices to those denied their rights because of diabetes.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is an organization that helps to provide compassionate care to those in need. Their network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. They have five key services that include disaster relief, support to military families, blood donations, health and safety services and international services.

Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults through community programs. They strive to feed and clothe children, enrich and enhance education and support and serve our communities.

Be the Match

Be The Match is a global leader in bone marrow transplantation. They conduct research to improve transplant outcomes, provide support and resources for patients and partner with a global network. Over the past 25 years Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. They work every day to save lives through transplant.

Cats Cradle Shelter

Cats Cradle Shelter is an organization that has a mission to create a more humane and compassionate world one cat at a time. They rescue, care for, protect and place cats for adoption in loving, lifelong homes. Cats Cradle works to prevent abuse, neglect and cruelty to animals by educating the citizens of our community in the proper and humane care of not only cats but all animals.

Deworm the World Initiative

The Deworm the World Initiative works to treat children for parasitic worm infections that cause short-term symptoms and may cause longer-term developmental problems. They work with epidemiologists and local partners to assess worm prevalence and intensity, obtain data to develop a targeted treatment strategy and to determine parasitological impact once programs are in place.

Diamond in the Ruff

Diamond in the Ruff is a 100% volunteer-run pet rescue that depends on foster homes, volunteers and generous community donations to continue saving the lives of animals.  They work to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned animals before permanently placing them in loving homes.

Eagle's Nest Healing is a residential campus for former service members of any war. Here they help veterans search for purpose and peace. Their mission is to help veterans in healing the invisible wounds of war.

Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

The Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome strives to eliminate disability caused by alcohol consumption during pregnancy and to improve the quality of life for those living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders throughout Minnesota.

Bike MS: C.H. Robinson MS 150 Ride 2016

Bike MS: C.H. Robinson MS 150 is a two-day cycling journey that runs from Duluth to the Twin Cities. More than 3,000 cyclists travel 150 miles towards a world free of multiple sclerosis, making a difference for those affected by the disease right here in the Upper Midwest and all around the world.

North Country Trail Association

The North Country Trail Association (NCTA) unites individuals, affiliated trail groups, local chapters, corporate sponsors and others linked in support of building and maintaining the North Country National Scenic Trail, and telling its story.  NCTA chapters support members as they “adopt” and maintain a section of trail, sponsor hikes and other social events in local trail communities, and plan and conduct major trail-building projects.

People Reaching out to People

More than 40 years ago, People Reaching Out to People (or PROP) was founded on the principle of neighbors helping neighbors by donating time, food and money to those in need. More recently, they expanded their services to not only meet the basic needs of the 1,100 families they serve but also provide skills to set clients on a path toward greater self-sufficiency.

St. Jude Up 'Til Dawn

Up ‘til Dawn is a student-led and run philanthropic program that benefits St. Jude, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research hospitals. The daily operating cost for St. Jude is $2.2 million and most of the money comes from individual contributors like you.

Venture

Venture partners with local churches and national leaders to implement a Care Point strategy for people who are the least reached and least resourced, such as: trafficked people, slaves, child soldiers, impoverished, refugees, military targeted groups. These Care Points focus on food, education and discipleship.
