Stoneridge Software Pays It Forward – Q3 2015

PayItForward_q3_2015As a commitment to our community and team Stoneridge Software is in the first year of conducting a pay-it-forward program that allows employees to support causes they feel close to or consider important. Each team member has been given $100 to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choice. Below is a list of the organizations chosen by employees to receive donations during the third quarter.

Q3 Stoneridge Pay-It-Forward Donations

American Red Cross – Dakotas Region

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross serves nearly 900,000 people covering all of North Dakota and 10 counties in Minnesota.

Barnesville Area Community Fund

The Barnesville Area Community Fund is set up to provide assistance to Barnesville Area residents in specific areas: Revolving Loans - This fund is designed to provide loans for the start-up, expansion or succession of businesses in the Barnesville area. These funds help bridge financial gaps between businesses and lending institutions. Educational Scholarships - Working through the Barnesville BEST program, this fund is used to support scholarships for Barnesville High School graduates. Community Grants - This fund is designed to assist in the funding of selected activities which promote quality arts, charitable, civic, community development, educational, environmental and health programs in the Barnesville area. Barnesville School Foundation - The fund provides funds for school programs & student activities to enhance the quality of education. Humanitarian Fund - This fund assists area residents who have suffered a tragic loss.

Carrie’s Kids

Carrie's Kids is a volunteer ministry in the Bismarck, ND area that works to create a safe learning environment for children and teens. Carrie's Kids, with the help of community volunteers and support, serves youth by teaching innovative problem-solving, shared responsibility and focusing on achieving real goals through sustainable and measurable outcomes.

Fargo-Moorhead Walk to Defeat ALS

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive and fatal disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to move. After diagnosis, the typical ALS patient is expected to live 2 to 5 years. The Fargo-Moorhead Walk to Defeat ALS took place on August 29, 2015. Participants walked in honor of those affected by ALS.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type-1 diabetes. The JDRF One Walk was held in Fargo, ND on September 20, 2015. Participants walked to raise funds and awareness for type 1 diabetes, a disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin.

North Country Trail Association

The North Country Trail Association (NCTA) unites all those in support of building and maintaining the North Country National Scenic Trail. A not-for-profit membership organization of volunteers, the NCTA partners with the National Park Service in bringing the North Country Trail to local communities. NCTA chapters “adopt” and maintain a section of trail, sponsor hikes and other social events in local trail communities, and plan and conduct major trail-building projects.

Rebuilding Together – Fargo Moorhead Area

The mission of Rebuilding Together – Fargo-Moorhead Area is to bring volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need. They offer home repair and renovation services to low-income families, the elderly, people with disabilities and veterans. These services are free of charge.

Stoneridge Software’s corporate giving plan also includes three larger corporate donations which will be announced later this fall.
