Stoneridge Software Reaches #24 on Accounting Today’s 2019 VAR 100 List
Accounting Today has released their 2019 VAR 100, a list ranking the top VARs of accounting software. Stoneridge Software has moved up seven spots from the previous year, ranking at #24. Stoneridge Software first appeared on the list in 2015 with a rank of #51, exponential growth has more than doubled that ranking four years later!
What is a VAR? A VAR is a value-added reseller or a company that adds features to a product before selling.
The rankings for the VAR 100 list are based on companies’ revenues from the previous year. Ties in revenue are broken with the larger amount of staff members. The 2019 VAR 100 list is composed of companies that sell many different types of software, including Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, and Infor products.
Accounting Today is a leading provider of online business news for the accounting community, and annually publishes their list of Top VAR rankings. This year’s research of the VAR 100 is titled ‘the tipping point for the cloud has finally arrived’. Specific observations include: 1) Resistance to adopting cloud technology in laggard industries is diminishing 2) As more companies have adopted the cloud, the perceived risk and cost is gone 3) Clients are realizing the cloud actually is secure.
