Three Non Profits Benefit from Stoneridge Gives 2015
The Stoneridge Gives initiative has awarded funds to all three 2015 featured non profits! Donations totaling $3,000 were awarded to Regeneration Center - Alexandria, MN, The Retreat - Minneapolis, MN and American Red Cross - Dakotas Region, Fargo ND. Throughout the year, each team member was able to donate $100 towards the charitable cause or organization of their choice in a Pay-It-Forward initiative. Organizations that received donations by October, 2015 were narrowed down to three, to be featured during the second part of the corporate giving campaign: Stoneridge Gives. Stoneridge Gives featured these non profits and a public voting campaign to assist in awarding final donations and promotion of the organizations.
Based on public voting the following donations were awarded:
Regeneration Center - Alexandria, MN - $1,500: The Regeneration Center supports several local and global ministries including Place of Hope Africa, which provides emergency housing and care for children in South Africa affected by AIDS, neglect, poverty, alcohol and abuse.
The Retreat - Minneapolis, MN - $1,000: The Retreat's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities affected by alcohol and drug dependency by providing affordable, effective educational services.
American Red Cross - Dakotas Chapter - Fargo, ND - $500: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross serves nearly 900,000 people covering all of North Dakota and 10 counties in Western Minnesota.
