Microsoft Dynamics GP Stock Count Calendar 2021 Error and Work Around

By Rob Wagner | March 4, 2020

The Microsoft Dynamics GP Stock Count Calendar 2021 is used by the inventory manager to schedule which days are available for counting inventory. One task for the role of an inventory manager at the end of each year is to plan next year’s counting days. To accomplish this task, they will be using the stock calendar maintenance window to mark the down-days. Marking every day except for Friday as shown below for an example.

The design for the window allows the inventory manager to select every year up until 2020, but cannot select 2021 as needed to plan for that year.

Microsoft has submitted a design change for this window, but that change may not be ready for quite some time. Between now and then, what can we do? Stoneridge uses the spreadsheet below as a work-around for our customers.

Some simple formulas in a spreadsheet are used to generate an insert statement that can be executed by a member of the IT staff. Please contact us know if you need help or support for your Dynamics GP implementation.
