In this session, we will explore traditional best practices and rules of thumb for the chart of accounts and financial dimension design as well as some more slightly creative approaches. An example-driven presentation will illustrate how to find the right balance between not enough information and death by financial dimension. And who says finance can't be a little dangerous?
4:00 p.m. – Taking a New Approach to Dynamics AX 2012 Security, Technical Architect Catherine McDade
Did you know there is more than one way to configure security in Dynamics AX 2012? In this session, we will review the available set-up options. We'll teach you how you can use a Business Process Hierarchy or the Business Process Modeler (from LCS) and tools like Task Recorder to create security objects that match your business processes. Finally, we will show you how to use security objects to create security roles unique to your organization and reconfigure security in an existing implementation.
