Create A Report Group Using Management Reporter in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in 7 Steps
Using Report groups is an efficient way to generate several reports simultaneously while working with Management Reporter in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
For example, at month-end, your users generate several reports every month. When you use a Report group, rather than selecting Generate for each report, all reports in the group are generated in one step. This helps to streamline what could be a time-consuming process, freeing your team up to focus on the core aspects of their job.
Prerequisite: The user must have the role of designer or administrator to create, modify, and delete Report Groups.
Setting Up a Report Group in 7 Easy Steps
To set up a Report group, all you have to do is follow these steps:
- In Report Designer, select Report Groups (Left panel)
- Click on New.
- Select the override company, detail, and date settings from each of the reports that will be included in the group. We recommend setting the Company, Period, Year, and Detail level for each report.
- In the Reports in group section, select the existing report definitions to include in your report group.
- Save and name the new Report group.
- You can generate the reports from this screen or schedule the report generation
