This step, like all others on the roadmap to your optimal ERP solution, is critical. Too many companies hit the go button before truly understanding the costs of the project, which can lead to all kinds of fiscal instability. Working in the dark on costs can and should be avoided. And while estimating costs isn’t an exact science, if you are working with the right tools, you will have a good ballpark understanding.
What do we mean by the right tools? Well, you need a way to estimate costs, and you need to have a reliable way of scoping your company’s actual business software needs.
