WalkSmart is the only health, safety, and fitness device for walker users. Falls are the number one cause of fatal injury among those 65 and older, and those using walkers already have the highest fall risk. WalkSmart allows families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to respond to potential emergencies, catch illnesses before they result in hospitalization, and help maintain proper fitness to reduce the risk of falling.
Project Phoenix presents AegisFlow, a multimedia distribution web-platform for drone pilots. Micro-stock meets Ride-share for the air. Pilots have been searching for a platform to facilitate contract engagement and manage their geospatial content. With AegisFlow, pilots resell their stock and receive notifications of contracts available. Any user can purchase stored content that a pilot has previously flown or request an area to be captured anew. AegisFlow connects people to pilots and centralizes all content distribution in a mapping environment.
ConnectLabs helps make businesses smarter by helping them understand the true value of a customer and what engages them. The application integrates with point of sale systems to track spending habits as well as visits, dwell times, and which marketing/advertising campaigns are working etc. ConnectLabs has also built a dashboard that a business can use the data with to target customers based on who they are, what they spend and not just random promoting. With the right data, ConnectLabs help businesses understand what turns a customer into a brand fan.
Webblen is an event notifier that serves as a one-stop-shop for everything that is happening in an individual’s area that he or she may be interested in. The application has the purpose and vision to bring communities together and promote collaboration and community involvement. The Target Market for Webblen is anyone and everyone. Anyone that wants to attend an event or promote their own is easily able to do exactly that. Whether you want to promote a garage sale, a city-wide event, or the opening of a brewery, anyone can promote and see any event happening in their area.
The Couch Jersey
The Couch Jersey is a couch/sofa slipcover in the form of a football jersey, racing suit, or other fan apparel. The Couch Jersey is the best way to show you’re a TRUE fan. You have the apparel, why not dress up your furniture? You’ve seen furniture with sports logos on them, but your family has to see them all year long, and they probably don’t let you put that chair in the living room so you’re sent to the basement. Not with the Couch Jersey, it pleases everyone by allowing you to show your pride and support while easily removing it and storing it away for the next game. It also keeps your spouse happy by keeping the couch clean when you have your buddies over for the big game.
Treq is a service that allows groups of friends to easily organize group trips by providing cost-sharing features, escrow services, and other trip planning services through the web and iOS/Android apps. The organizer of a group trip creates a trip and determines the shared cost of the trip. They then determine the cost sharing scheme and set the deadline for funding the trip. The trip organizer then invites their friends to join the trip—similar to a Facebook event. The shared cost is the sum of the trip expenses which the group agrees to pay for together such as flights, hotel, and attractions.
The 2017 Spark Your Startup Business Pitch competition is sponsored by Stoneridge Software, Dean’s Bulk Service, Crown Appraisals, Protosthetics, the Barnesville Economic Development Authority and the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corporation, as well as several in-kind donations from additional companies.
