Bridge to Cloud 3 Update: Key Changes and Licensing Details
Understanding Bridge to Cloud Promotion
Bridge to Cloud Promotion is a Microsoft program that helps organizations transition from on-premises systems to Microsoft cloud services gradually and affordably. Instead of switching everything at once, you can keep using your current system while starting cloud subscriptions at a discounted rate, up to 40% off. The promotion ensures dual use rights and predictable pricing for three years.
Bridge to Cloud Updates
Microsoft is updating the program from Bridge to Cloud 2 (BTC2) to Bridge to Cloud 3 (BTC3). This update’s purpose is to reflect changes in licensing and cloud adoption needs.
Starting January 1, 2026, any new licenses added under the Bridge to Cloud promotion will automatically qualify for Bridge to Cloud 3 (BTC3).
If you enrolled in Bridge to Cloud 2 (BTC2) before December 31, 2025, your current pricing and benefits will remain in effect for the full three-year term from your start date.
In short:
- BTC3 applies to new licenses added in 2026 and beyond.
- BTC2 continues for existing customers until their three-year term ends.
