Stoneridge Software’s Top Dynamics NAV / D365 Business Central Blogs of 2018

by | Jan 4, 2019 | Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, News

As 2018 comes to an end, Stoneridge is looking back at our greatest hits of the year. We published over 150 blogs this year, including many on every facet of Dynamics NAV and D365 for Business Central. Check out our top five blogs of the year, but don’t forget about the rest of our (also great!) NAV and Business Central posts on our website.

5. How to Harness the Power of RapidStart in Microsoft Dynamics NAV

RapidStart is a tool within Microsoft Dynamics NAV that allows users to extract data from NAV, import data into NAV, and update your existing data in NAV. You can also use it to create set-ups, such as RapidStart configuration packages to load posting groups, chart of accounts, and also to create journal entries.

4. User Personalization in Dynamics NAV: Work Smart, Not Hard

Remove Clutter with customization in Dynamics NAV

User personalization in Dynamics NAV is a free and often under-utilized tool that empowers businesses to improve efficiencies. Personalization allows you and your employees to remove clutter and hide functionality that is not being used, add short cuts for functionality that is used often, and improve the speed of data entry. In the examples below, we will explore three features of personalization on the Windows client.

3. Use Docker Containers in Dynamics NAV

2. Customizing Report Layouts and Email Templates in Dynamics 365 Business Central

Now that you have Dynamics 365 Business Central up and running, you may want to start customizing the way you present yourself to the outside world. But how? There are essentially three parts to setting up customer report layouts and email templates in Dynamics 365 Business Central

1. Are you Using Copy & Paste in Dynamics NAV? You Should!

Our support team is frequently asked to develop import functions to pull Excel data into Dynamics NAV. In some cases, the development of dataports or XMLports is necessary. However, as an alternative, we increasingly see users taking advantage of copy and paste in Dynamics NAV.
